Napopo asks you to find a canvas. In this guide, we will tell you where to find this unique item. You cannot create it yourself.
Perhaps there is another way to get the canvas, and the rewards from the crabs will be different. Before you can get to the island, where there is canvas, you must unlock the opportunity to explore the open ocean. Need to completely upgrade your ship. That is, find new oars, 2000 coins and a new engine. All of this is part of another quest chain. As soon as you can explore all the seas of Mara, you will be able to get to the most diverse islands.
You find a messenger crabs on Gold Clay island, to the east. These are small creatures with bottles on their backs. When approaching them, it becomes possible to conduct a dialogue. You are shown messages from Kickstarter developers or sponsors. After reading the message, you get some item as a reward. There are a huge number of different items. some of them are most valuable, so as soon as you see crabs, be sure to interact with them.
On Gold Clay island, next to some crates – you find a crab. This is not far from the melon plot that you can collect. Crab will talk about the beginning of a completely new journey. And if you do not get the canvas from this crab, then, unfortunately, this award is randomized. If we find another way to get the canvas, then be sure to update the guide.

There is another way to get canvas later on in the game but you have to complete the Aquila quests to be able to receive the blueprint to do it.
