In this guide, we’ll cover everything you need to know about Tiger, Boar, Crane, Dragon, Horse, Buffalo, Turtle and Mouse – the warlords of Stronghold: Warlords
As you explore the playing fields of Stronghold: Warlords, you will stumble upon several warlord castles. You can capture each of them, increasing your influence and significantly expanding your domain. On the other hand, in addition to being captured by force, you can convince every warlord in Stronghold to submit peacefully. This will require diplomacy points.
How to capture a warlord with diplomacy in Stronghold: Warlords
Diplomacy Points are a particularly useful resource for interacting with military leaders. By default, your citadel brings strictly 1 diplomacy point per day. You can increase this parameter by constructing two additional buildings:
- Consulate – costs 200 gold and gives 2 diplomacy points per day. You can build 4 consulates, and also connect them with a stone road to the citadel, as a result of which you will receive 15 diplomacy points per day (3 from each consulate).
- The embassy costs 500 gold, but it also brings 5 diplomacy points. Connect the embassy with a stone road to the citadel, and you will receive 7 diplomacy points. In total, you can build no more than two embassies, that is, have an additional 14 diplomacy points.
IN THIS WAY, WE RECOMMEND TO CONNECT THE EMBASSIES AND THE CONSULATE BY THE STONE ROAD WITH THE CITADEL. AS A RESULT OF ALL MANIPULATIONS, THE NUMBER OF DIPLOMACY POINTS AVAILABLE PER DAY CAN BE INCREASED TO 30 UNITS!
At any time during the game, you can open the Generals tab and click on the “Automatic” button located in the lower right corner of the screen. You don’t need to resort to any manual action. After clicking on this button, your commander will start automatic negotiations with the selected commander. That is, he will invest diplomacy points as they are credited to your account. As soon as the scale slightly below turns green, the subordinate button is activated. Click on it. The warlord is at your disposal!
PLEASE NOTE THAT AN ANYONE OR ANOTHER PLAYER ACTING IN THE ROLE OF YOUR OPPONENT MAY RECAPE THE ALREADY SUBMISSION COMMANDER. YOU CAN DO THE SAME.
Why Capture Warlords and How to Level Up a Warlord
In addition to gaining a new area and depriving the enemy to do the same, each general can supply you with food once in a while (rice, vegetables, meat, and so on). You can also raise the level of commanders to unlock new teams. All this requires diplomacy points. For example, one of the commanders will be able to send troops to the specified location in the future. For each new level, more diplomacy points will be required, so it is so important to build the maximum allowable number of consulates and embassies, connecting them with stone roads to the citadel. By improving the warlord’s castle, you, in theory, will be able to complicate the process of capturing it by your opponents.
In Stronghold: Warlords, you can subjugate up to eight different generals:
- Tiger
- Crane
- Buffalo
- The Dragon
- Horse
- Mouse
- Boar
- Turtle
