Decisions and their consequences at Chernobylite – which to choose?
In this Chernobylite guide, we’ll take a look at the quest chains for various characters, indicating how decisions made affect relationships with partners.
Oliver’s Quests
Requirements:
- Quests will start by default, without any conditions. Later Semonov will contact you by radio.
- If you kill Semonov in the quest “Some excuses”, the option with the help or death of Semonov at the end of Mikhail’s chain will not be available.
- If Semonov die in the chain of Mikhail (before you get to Oliver’s assignments), then the mission “Some excuses” will be unavailable.
- Oliver will also give the task “Traitor” – the beginning of Olga’s quest chain.
To begin with, about what quests affect the relationship with the characters:
- Quest “Weapon transport“. You can pick up ammo or detonate it. If you blow up the ammunition, worsen your relationship with Oliver. If you take the ammo, improve your relationship with Oliver, but worsen it with Mikhail.
- Quest “Old documents“. If you recharge the traps, you will improve your relationship with the Tarakan. By not reloading the traps, you can improve your relationship with Oliver.
- Quest “An Old Friend“. If you trust Semonov, improve your relationship with Oliver. If in doubt, there will be no change in the relationship.
- Quest “Chain Reaction“. If you give up, improve your relationship with Olga. If you fight, improve your relationship with the Tarakan.
- Quest “Some excuses“. If you kill Semonov, then worsen your relationship with Oliver. If you decide to trust him, worsen your relationship with the Tarakan.
Michael’s Quests
Requirements:
- Not. Mikhail will contact you by radio himself.
- If Semonov dies at the end of Mikhail’s chain (before you get to Oliver’s Quests), then the mission “Some excuses” will be unavailable.
- If you kill Semonov in the quest “Some excuses”, the option with the help or death of Semonov at the end of Mikhail’s chain will not be available.
Quest line:
- Quest “Hacking into NAR servers“. If you delete the data, there will be no consequences. If you decide to study them, worsen your relationship with Mikhail, but improve it with Oliver.
- Quest “Michael in trouble“. Hire Michael to be part of your team. If you have worsened your relationship with him earlier, apologize. If you don’t apologize, then he will leave. The following quests will only be available if you’ve hired Michael!
- Quest ” Hermit“. If you help the hermit, improve your relationship with Michael. If not, then worsen your relationship with him.
- Quest “Big Fish“. If you shoot at the helicopter, improve your relationship with Mikhail and worsen it with Oliver. If you don’t shoot, then improve your relationship with Oliver and worsen your relationship with Mikhail.
- You can help or let Semonov die. It will not affect the relationship …
Sashko and Tarakan Quests line
Requirements:
- Not. Sashko will contact you by radio.
- If during the task “A memento from the past” study the documents, then Kozlov and NAR will learn about your investigation. They will set a trap that you will fall into during the quest “Some things from the old shelter.”
- Sometimes Tarakan leaves the team without warning anyone. This has something to do with the quests “Black Stalker”, “Some excuses” and the choice to help Semonov or let him die.
Quest line:
- Quest “A memento from the past“. If you seize control of the Eye, improve your relationship with Mikhail and worsen it with Tarakan. This is what needs to be done. You will also get a powerful upgrade for your scanner.
- Quest “Meeting with Tarakan“. If you burn your documents, improve your relationship with Sashko. If you study the documents, then set a trap for the NAR in the quest “A few things from the old shelter.”
- Quest “Crumb Trail“. Be sure to take Tarakan to your team.
- Quest “The Final Exam“. Agree to accept Sashko into the team.
- Quest “Hardware for real man“. If you press the detonator, improve your relationship with Sashko and worsen your relationship with Olga. If you don’t press, then improve your relationship with Olga and worsen it with Sashko.
- Quest “Checkpoint Assault“. If you don’t press the detonator, improve your relationship with Mikhail and worsen your relationship with Sashko. If you press the detonator, then just improve your relationship only with Sashko (if the Hermit is dead). If you helped the hermit in the quest of the same name, then in addition to improving relations with Sashko, you will worsen the connection with Mikhail.
- Quest “A few things from the old hideout.” If you blow up, then worsen your relationship with Tarakan. If you download the data, you will worsen your relationship with Sashko. For this task, you must have Sashko or Tarakan in your team.
Olga’s Quest line
Requirements:
- After completing the “Traitor” quest given by Oliver, Olga will contact you. On the radio.
- If you do not return Konstantin to Olga’s village and tell her the truth, she will not join you.
- There is an error with the mission “Black Stalker”. If you complete this quest, Tarakan may have a good or neutral relationship. But if you enter the tunnel and do nothing, the relationship will become terrible, and Tarakan will leave the team. If you enter the tunnel and forget about the task “Black Stalker”, then Tarakan will not go anywhere.
Quest line:
- Quest “Traitor“. If you allow Konstantin to leave, you will worsen your relationship with Olga.
- Quest “A Voice in the Woods“. Provided that Konstantin was released. If you free Konstantin from captivity, worsen relations with Sashko.
- If you first released, and then released Constantine, there will be a choice – to give him food or not. If you don’t, your relationship with Tarakan will worsen.
- If you give food to Konstantin, then the task “Black Stalker” will be available in the future.
- So, if they killed Constantine or did not release him in the forest, then you have to decide – tell Olga the truth or lie. If you’re lying, worsen your relationship with Mikhail and Tarakan. If you tell the truth, Olga will not join you! You will lose all quests below.
- Thus, if you helped Konstantin or did not begin to tell Olga the truth, you will be able to accept the woman into the team.
- Quest “Opposite sides of the barricade“. If you release the captives, worsen your relationship with Olga. If you don’t release them, worsen your relationship with Sashko.
- Quest “The Truth About NAR Experiments“. If you delete the data, improve your relationship with Olga. If you upload data, improve your relationship with Tarakan, but worsen your relationship with Olga.
- Quest “Black Stalker“. If you tell Olga about Konstantin’s plan, worsen your relationship with Sashko. If you don’t tell, worsen your relationship with Olga. But this task will be available only if you spared, then freed Kostya, and then gave him food.
- There are no consequences for the choice in relation to Semonov in the “Black Stalker” quest.
Kozlov’s quest line
Requirements:
- You need to complete the tasks “Some excuses” from Oliver and “Black Stalker” on Olga’s route.
- The first task starts at the base. The partners offer to kidnap or kill Kozlov. Which option will be offered depends on the current partners.
- To get all the quests, Kozlov must survive.
Tasks:
- Quest “In Base“. If you decide to kill Kozlov, you will have to choose how to do it – poison or shoot. Poisoning will improve relations with Mikhail, murder with a pistol – with Olga. After that, the chain will be unavailable.
- If you decide to kidnap Kozlov, you can redirect the wires or cut them. in the first case, relations with Tarakan will improve, in the second – with Sashko.
- If you decide to kidnap Kozlov, after acting with the wires, you can again kill or kidnap him. The kidnapping will worsen relations with Olga, but will continue the quest. If you decide to kill, then improve your relationship with the character you allow to do it! You can also come to this decision if you first decided to kill Kozlov, but then decided to meet with him (at the very beginning).
- If you release Kozlov after meeting in the office, and the quests “Black Stalker” and “Some Excuses” are also completed, then the task “Hard Truth” will begin. If you don’t tell Kozlov about your nephew, worsen your relationship with Olga. If you tell, improve your relations with Sashko or Tarakan (if you did not release or release the prisoners in the quest “On Different Sides of the Barricade”, respectively).
- If you decide to keep Oliver, worsen your relationship with Tarakan and Sashko. Otherwise, he will leave the team.
